The Civil War - 150 Years
One hundred and fifty years ago, our country was divided:
North and South... White and Black... Freedom and Slavery...
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War,
Rhode Island College hosts a symposium
"Rhode Island in the Civil War:
Public History and Popular Memory"
on Friday, April 8th
The event includes reenactments, period music, demonstrations,
panel discussion with historians, exhibits,
even a game of baseball as it was played in 1864.
It's the Civil War with a R.I. connection.
